38 cub cadet 42 inch deck belt diagram
Me and my dad can’t find where the spring goes, any help? I have a craftsman lt1000 with a 42 inch deck. I bought it used and just realized that it originally had a 38" deck. Should I use a 1/2" by 95.5" belt? I had a 95 3/8" belt on before but it ripped in two after a couple months and did seem a little tight. Can anyone help me out and possibly have a part number so I can find it?
Good Afternoon everyone. As titled above, my deck belt on my Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro series keeps slipping off after disengaging my blades. I’ve watched several videos as to what may be the culprit and I just can’t seem to figure it out. This is a new OEM 46” deck belt that I’ve installed after the last deck belt seemed to have become loose over time. The first few starts after install went fine but now, the belt slips off every single time after I disengage the blades on this mower. Has anyone h...

Title has my model info, but I'm really wanting to get a larger deck for my mower. Stock size is 38". Since I moved a couple of years ago, my mowing area has increased, as well as trimming, and having a bigger footprint would help my efficiency. My question is: can anyone help me with a resource or info that could let me know how big I can go, what sort of year/model/class I should be looking at specifically, or any other important things to consider? I only assume that as mowers get older/newer... So I decided to change out my belt after the old one frayed and slipped from the drive pulley repeatedly. I am having an absolute bitch of a time getting the new one on. No matter how much I pull on the swinging pulley that is connected to the tension spring, I still can’t slip the belt over the drive pulley. Every diagram/video that I see of this task shows the guy pulling a rope through the back that is tied to the tension pulley and almost effortlessly slipping the belt over the pulley. Ho...
Cub cadet 42 inch deck belt diagram. A new OEM deck is about $750 bucks. I'm looking at buying this, seller wants $650, but a new deck would probably be in the cards if this one can't be redone. https://i.imgur.com/6CQazjm.png Good Afternoon everyone. Does anyone know the cost to replace deck drive belt on ride on lawn mower. Any recommendation tractor repair shops. Replaced shift lever in CV trans. First the trans would not disengage. No neutral, neutral would be a continuation of the last gear whether fwd or rev. Decided to ride it out one time to cut the grass, a third acre but I’m a bk amputee and the yard is very uneven. So 75% done and the top belt pops that powers the trans. Didn’t break just pops off. When I did trans I replaced the belts. Checked with Cub Cadet and the aftermarket bet was an inch smaller. Put new belt in today and same thing happen...
I have been doing research and it seems to be very very similar and some mixed reviews. Biggest thing I’ve seen is that the Husqvarna has a more professional look but the Cub Cadet is better for compact performance. I’ve seen sites that say the Cub Cadet is better and also sites that say the Husqvarna is better. Review wise they both seem to be around 4.5/5 stars. Info about the lawn: They have a hill that isn’t too steep but still a decent size, about an acre total, and a ditch (planning to do ... Hey guys, Tossing up between two models by my two local dealers. Finding it really hard to get any objective opinions on which mower to choose! Both are the same price, and have the same 3 year warranty. Cub Cadet doesn’t seem to have as good a reputation (an independent mower repair man told me they are the one brand you shouldn’t buy), but I do like that their steering wheel on the zero turn. Would love any thoughts or advice! So I decided to change out my belt after the old one frayed and slipped from the drive pulley repeatedly.
